Recently, I found this piece of foolscap in a box of old papers.
It was written by me when I was seven years old (which would have been… let me see… oh yes, about 22 years ago… 😉 )
While I was never any good at spool knitting, and I don’t remember owning the tractor I’m referring to in this document, the fact I wanted to be an artist does ring true even today. Perhaps this is where my desire to become a professional photographer started?
Life takes many twists and turns, and by the time I was in my teens I was much more interested in becoming an astronomer (or an astronaut) than an artist – which propelled me into a totally different career orbit, eventually landing me in the high-tech field… But, there was always that desire in the back of my mind to pursue a career as an artist.
Especially after my career as a spool knitter didn’t pan out.
